Recipients of the TURN2 Residencies are Announced

Following an open call in March 2021 we are excited to finally be able to announce the recipients of the TURN2 Residencies. The fully funded programme provides living and working space and offers research opportunities for curators and cultural practitioners with curatorial experience of the African continent to either go to Berlin, or from Germany to Johannesburg, Lagos or Nairobi.

The aim of the project is to facilitate research for emerging curators and cultural practitioners with curatorial experience based in Germany and in the African continent with ambitions to make them the starting point for more international collaborations and knowledge sharing opportunities.

Launched by the German Federal Cultural Foundation the residencies are part of TURN2, a programme for Artistic Co-Creation between Germany and African Countries. A joint project of the German Federal Cultural Foundation, ZK/U Berlin and the Triangle Network they are carried out in collaboration with the Nairobi Contemporary Art Institute, the G.A.S. Foundation in Lagos and the Bag Factory in Johannesburg.
